The volume builds upon the 1966 book by Alf Harper and W. Scheck entitled The Stamps of Germany Third Reich. Enhanced with research conducted through the Germany and Colonies Philatelic Society and the Third Reich Study Group, both in Great Britain, The Philately of Third Reich Germany 1933-1945 expands, updates and corrects the Harper work including full-color illustrations throughout of all the stamps, miniature sheets and booklets, plus special postcards and postmarks used on the stamp issues. This book also discusses relevant political and historical matters, helping the reader further understand the everyday climate in Germany and Europe at that time. This sets the publication apart from any other Third Reich Philately reference and and provides a unique glimpse into World War II Germany.
