Sure most of us get our knowledge of history through historians after they dug through the archives, but to me I also love the books like this one that is filled with primary documents, history straight from the source as it may. This excellent book contains the staff papers of the Luftwaffe that exposes the inner workings of the German Air Forces's High Command, including everything from pre-WWI correspondence on aviation from General von Moltke, to WWII tactical instructions, including such topics as "friendly fire", strategic bombing in Russia, railway interdiction, close air support, and much more, a wonderful collection of documents with introductory essays by the author. 308 pp.
