This very detailed work begins with a brief discussion of WWI and post war and the practical implementation of organizational, methodological and training theory. Most of the book covers such diverse topics as air reconnaissance operations including types, planning, tactics, execution, processing and interpretations of air photos and much more. Actual operations include air defense of the army, supply, types and scope of air support, interdiction of the battlefield and direct air support for the Army. Then follows a discussion of the ratio of army support to overall air operations for the Polish Campaign, the Campaign in the West, the Balkan Campaign and Russia. Excellent study.
