By Hans Bauer These are the memoirs of Lieutenant General Hans Bauer, Chief Pilot to Adolf Hitler. Printed way back in 1986 and long out of print, these copies have some slight spotting due to sitting in storage in the south for many years. Excellent personal account of Hitler by favorite pilot. Bauer was with Hitler during many events, including the last days in the Bunker. Bauer was also the commander of the Reichschancellery Squadron. Besides giving wonderful personal insights to Hitler and other leaders and his witnessing of many major events during the war, he provides details of the barbaric mistreatment suffered as a prisoner for ten years in Soviet prisons after the war. This is not a typical bashing of Hitler and passing the buck type book, but an honest, objective account that commands the reader's attention from cover to cover. Illustrated with photos. 240 pp.
