A massive illustrated technical work on Soviet and captured weapons used in WWII As early as 1942, the Novosibirsk museum authorities assigned their teams to the battle fields in the Bryansk, Stepnoy, Voronezh fronts, and to Stalingrad. It was due to the systematic and careful work done during 1942-1945 that the museum acquired a sizeable number of the trophies captured by the Red Army, including cannons, ammunition, small arms, side arms and armor, uniforms, orders, medals, and documents.
